Tehran (IP): The Friday prayer leader of the city of Lucknow in India said that arrogant powers try to create discord among Muslims and intend to destroy them; therefore Muslims must be vigilant.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference on Saturday, October 23, Seyed Javad Kolb Naqvi said: "The best Ummah are those who take steps not only to benefit other Muslims but also to benefit all humanity."

"Once upon a time, the slogan of colonialism was to divide and rule,” he said. “Today they have changed their slogan and believe that Muslims are not trustworthy and should be killed and destroyed."

Emphasizing the need for Muslim vigilance in the current situation, he said: "We thought that there was a difference between Shias and Sunnis, but later we realized they are following the same path, so they must not let any arrogant power bully them."
