Tehran (IP) - Following the recent talks with the European Union envoy in Tehran and the continuation of the talks in Brussels, the Iranian foreign minister said that the nuclear talks with the P4+1 would resume soon.

Iran PressIran news: During a meeting with Khusrav Noziri, Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tehran on Saturday, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed satisfaction with some long-term infrastructure projects in the fields of transportation, trade, finance and banking, expressing hope that unfinished projects would be completed during his term as the Secretary General of ECO.

The Iranian foreign minister also expressed regret over the recent terrorist operations in Afghanistan, as one of the important members of the ECO.

Amir-Abdollahian also referred to the recent talks with the European Union envoy in Tehran and the continuation of the talks in Brussels, noting: "Nuclear talks with the P4+1 will resume soon."

In the meeting, the secretary general of the ECO, emphasized the pivotal role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the ECO, calling for the continuation of Iran's support for this important regional organization.

Noziri from Tajikistan has recently been appointed secretary general of the ECO.

Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is an intergovernmental regional organization encompassing countries from Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, Middle East and South Asia with more than 460 million inhabitants and over 8 million square kilometers connecting Russia to the Persian Gulf and China to Europe. The overall objective of the Organization is the sustainable economic development of its member states and the region.
