Tehran (IP): The head of the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) stressed Iran's efforts for more economic activity in Eurasia.

Iran PressIran News: Alireza Peymanpak, Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, said: "We will activate alternative routes to the Republic of Azerbaijan for trade with Eurasia. One of these routes is through Armenia, which will be activated within a month."

The second route is the sea route, for which the construction and purchase of ships are on the agenda, he added.

Peymanpak also said: "Iran will increase non-oil exports as much as it can to shore up the competition in the region.Therefore, in TPO, we have set up a political and commercial plan that will help develop exports."

Hossein Kakhki, Director General of the International Cooperation Department of Iran (IRICA), had previously announced that in the first five months of this year in the Iranian calendar (Starting from March 21, 2021), Iran's exports to the Eurasian Economic Union member states amounted to 420 million and 823 thousand dollars, which has increased by 37% compared to the same period last year.
