Nigeria (IP) - Some residents of Birshin Fulani, a suburb of Bauchi metropolis, in Nigeria as early as 7 am on Friday blocked the Bauchi-Dass road protesting the deteriorating security in the area.

Iran PressAfrica: The angry people on Friday were said to be protesting over incessant killings and kidnapping for ransom by unknown gunmen. According to a resident who spoke to Iran Press News Agency and doesn't want his name to be revealed, they're holding the protest to reveal their anger at the failure of the government to protect their lives and properties.

Last night, one woman was reportedly abducted by the gunmen. On 4 September 2021, the gunmen invaded Birshin Fulani, a Community near Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, and murdered Engineer Abubakar Mohammad Garba a Senior lecturer at Federal Polytechnic in cold blood.
