Baghdad (IP) - The Iraqi prime minister, calling Tehran-Baghdad relations historic, announced that he had reached an agreement with Iran to develop trade and economic exchanges.

Iran Press/Middle East: Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi gave details of his recent visit to Iran at a cabinet meeting on Thursday afternoon, saying that Tehran-Baghdad's talks during his visit to Iran were fruitful.

In another part of his remarks, Mustafa al-Kazemi described the relations between Baghdad and Tehran as historic and robust.

The Iraqi Prime Minister arrived in Tehran on Sunday at the head of a high-level delegation and met with the Iranian officials, including Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Saeed Khatibzadeh, the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that al-Kazemi's visit was aimed at deepening relations between Iran and Iraq.
