Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 453 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 116,072.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to September 16, 2021, 5,378,408 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 4,682,704 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 18,021 cases, out of whom 2,859 patients were hospitalized.

6,981 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 30,672,916 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 168 cities are red, 209 are orange, and 71 are yellow zones.

So far, 27,002,320 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 13,299,855 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 40,320,175 doses.
