Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Agriculture called on the Parliament to pass a better law to protect forests and rangelands, monitor natural resources, and prevent land grabbing.

Iran PressIran news: At the 5th National Forestry Day Festival, Mohammad Sadatinejad emphasized that one of the great duties of the Ministry of Agriculture is to preserve the rangelands and forests for the next generation.

Sadatinejad also stressed the use of knowledge to generate wealth in the country with the participation of the people.

Another speaker of the ceremony, Ali Nikzad, a member of the parliament presiding board, said that communication with the outside world and producing software were important.

Nikzad also cited facilitation in building houses and roads and water supply to villages as other important factors in encouraging villagers to stay in the countryside.
