Iranian films win prestigious awards

Rome (IP): Three films, "Silence Tree", "Botox" and "Zalava", won prestigious awards for Iranian cinema at Italian festivals.

Iran PressEurope: The first prestigious award of Iranian cinema from the Venice Film Festival went to "Arsalan Amiri," the director of Zalava's film, and this film won the main prize of the International Critics' Week section of the Venice Film Festival and the International Film Critics Awards (the FIPRESCI Prize). 

At the Torino Film Festival in Italy, two awards for best film and best editing went to Silence Tree”, a co-production between Iran and Turkey made by Turkish filmmaker Faysal Soysal and produced by Ali Nouri Oskooi.

The award for editing this film, a joint production of Iran and Turkey, went to "Mustafa Kherqepoosh."

But the fourth Iranian Cinema Award was given to "Sussan Parvar," a Botox actor from Italy.

At the closing ceremony of the 8th Torino Sinefest Film Festival in Italy, Sussan Parvar won the Best Actress award at the film event for her role in Botox.
