Iran's Sitting Volleyball Captain:

Tehran (IP)- Davood Alipourian, the Iran men's sitting volleyball team captain, said: "The world saw the power of Iranian volleyball players in the Tokyo Paralympics."

Iran PressIran news: Speaking on the sidelines of the welcoming ceremony of the last group of Iran's sports squad from Tokyo Paralympic Games at Imam Khomeini Airport, Davood Alipourian added: "All teams have participated in the sitting volleyball competitions of the Tokyo Paralympic Games with the best of their abilities."

He said: "Of course, the Iranian sitting volleyball team continued its competitions with strength, and especially against the teams of Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and dictated its superiority to them."

Also, in this ceremony, Sara Javanmardi, the most honorable Paralympian in the history of Iran, referred to the Tokyo Paralympic Games, saying: "The level of competitions were much higher than the previous Paralympics, and due to the coronavirus pandemic, the competitions were held in strict conditions."

The gold medalist of the Tokyo Paralympics Pistol Shooting added: "Athletes had 5 years to prepare for the Paralympics and fortunately, the Iran's shooting team managed to get a good result."
