Indian Foreign Minister spoke by telephone with Iran's Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian to discuss issues of interest.

Iran PressIran news: In this conversation, the Indian side congratulated the appointment of the Iranian Foreign Minister and stressed the need to expand relations between the two countries.

Jaishnkar, while pointing to the wide range of bilateral, regional, and transport cooperation between Iran and India, invited the Iranian Foreign Minister to visit India. 

He also stressed the need to continue consultations between the two sides on Afghanistan.

Amir Abdullahian thanked his Indian counterpart for inviting him to travel at the right time, welcoming the expansion of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and India in various economic fields, including future prospects and interaction on vaccines between the two countries, the Chabahar project.

Amir Abdullahian also emphasized the development of trade between the two countries.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also stressed that Iran's principled and consistent approach to Afghanistan is based on the need for a comprehensive government based on all segments of the country's population, as well as efforts to seek comprehensive international and regional assistance and cooperation to reduce the crisis in the region.
