Tehran (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized increasing exchanges with the neighboring countries.

Iran PressIran news: In the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, Ebrahim Raisi stressed active diplomacy to shore up ties with the neighboring countries since there were good grounds for boosting regional exchanges.

Highlighting the crisis in Afghanistan, Raisi said a two-decade-old crisis in this country was a clear tableau depicting the sheer violations of human rights in the current age.

He recalled the history of the US presence in different parts of the world proved that they never brought security, but it was detrimental to security, stability, and peace.

He noted: "If we look only at the number of the women and children who have been killed, injured or maimed in Afghanistan over the years, we will see what silence leads to disaster has been going on in this country."

"Instead of being held accountable in the world's public opinion, the Americans, with such a background and performance, are exercising propaganda against other countries under various pretexts," President Raisi pointed out.

He then referred to the US propaganda against Iran and called on the relevant bodies in the country, including the national TV, IRIB, to give the due response.
