Tokyo (IP) - The Iranian Shot putter bagged the gold medal of shot putting competitions of Tokyo Paralympic games on Monday.

Iran press/ Asia: Mahdi Olad snatched the gold medal of shot put competitions, registering a record of 14.43 meters in the shot put F11.

Therefore, the Iranian Paralympic caravan has so far gained 5 gold medals in Tokyo Paralympics 2021.

Alessandro Rodrigo da Silva from Brazil took the silver with 13.89 meters, and the bronze medal went to Italian Oney Tapia with 13.60 meters.

On the same day, Mansour Pourmirzaei, Iranian super-heavyweight para-weightlifter lifted a 241-kg weight in the men's over 107kg category and snatched the silver medal in the 2020 Paralympic Games. 

Pourmirzaei’s medal was Iran’s fifth medal in powerlifting in the 2020 Paralympic Games.
