Russia calls for urgent Afghan national dialogue

Russia (IP): Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called for the immediate start of the national dialogue in Afghanistan.

Iran PressEurope: Sergei Lavrov told reporters on Thursday that Russia wants the immediate establishment of national talks in Afghanistan with the participation of all forces.

He added that the Moscow mechanism in Afghanistan had good prospects for creating the conditions for the start of the Intera-Afghan talks.

Lavrov said Russia was trying in every way possible to help the Taliban group hold talks with other Afghan political forces.
