Iranian freestyle wrestlers snatch 4 gold at UWW Junior World Championships

Ufa (IP) - Four Iranian freestyle wrestlers won gold medals in the United World Wrestling Junior World Championships held in Russia.

Iran PressEurope: In the 61 kilograms category, Rahman Amouzad won the gold medal after a break in the first round, defeating opponents from Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, and India.

In the 81 kilograms category, Amir-Hossein Firoozpour defeated the representatives of Germany, Russia, Georgia, and France to win the gold medal of the UWW Junior World Championships.

At the end of the first five weight categories, Erfan Elahi and Mohammad Nokhodi also grabbed gold in the weights of 70 and 79 kg, respectively.

Alireza Abdollahi won bronze at 97 kg.

The United World Wrestling Junior World Championships commenced on Monday in Ufa, Russia, and will end today (Wednesday).
