Iran, Lebanon urge cementing cultural ties

Mashhad (IP) - During the visit of a high-ranking delegation from Lebanon to the Holy city of Mashhad and Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine, boosting the cultural relations between Iran and Lebanon was stressed.

Iran PressIran news: A delegation from Lebanon, hosted by the Department of International Affairs of the Astan Quds Razavi's Scientific and Cultural Organization, visited Mashhad.

Abbas Morteza, the Lebanese Minister of Culture, along with a representative of the Lebanese Parliament Speaker and a member of the board of directors of the Amal Movement, got acquainted with the cultural and religious activities of Astan Quds Razavi after visiting the Holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

The Lebanese Minister of Culture, after visiting the Astan Quds Razavi Library complex, while expressing surprise at the valuable reserves of manuscripts and printing press in this huge collection, announced his readiness to open a new page in the cultural relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon focusing on the scientific and cultural capabilities in Astan Quds Razavi.

At the end of the meeting, Mohammad Zolfaghari, the Deputy Head of International Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi's Scientific and Cultural Organization, presented the holy flag of Imam Hussein (AS) for the Muharram 10-day mourning to the delegation of Amal Movement.
