Iran PressAfrica: According to Iran Press citing one of its correspondents in Jos, the angry young men came to the streets on Tuesday evening to protest the killings of the farmers by the ranchers. The event led to unrest and violence.

The angry young men attacked public property and people, setting some cars and shops in a blaze.

The Jos Plateau is a plateau located near the centre of Nigeria. The plateau has given its name to Plateau State in which it is found and is named for the state's capital, Jos.

Plateau State is the twelfth-largest state in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Plateau Governor Simon Lalong said on Wednesday that Jos is now calm in the state capital and the area is under the control of security forces.
