A joint meeting of the Disaster Management Organization and the Agricultural Council of the Khuzestan Water Supply Camp was also held on Friday night in the presence of the first vice president at the governor-general's office.
Jahangiri described Khuzestan Province as an important and strategic province.
The chiefs of the Arab and Bakhtiari tribes also expressed their concerns at the meeting and asked the executive officials to resolve the problems as soon as possible.
The first vice president also visited Karkheh Dam accompanied by the Ministers of Energy and Agriculture Jihad.
Also, the IRGC Chief commander, Major-General Hossein Salami, arrived in Ahvaz on Saturday to investigate Khuzestan problems and visit different areas of the province.
Visiting the implementation process of IRGC and Basij water supply projects in Khuzestan is also on the agenda of General Salami.
They arrived in Khuzestan Province on Friday evening to investigate the problems of water shortage and drought.
