Iran's Customs Spokesman:
Iran, Afghanistan borders are closed 5 days

Tehran (IP) - Iran's customs spokesman said that the borders between Iran and Afghanistan would be closed for 5 days.

Iran Press/Iran News: Ruhollah Latifi, the spokesman for Iran's customs, said: "As of Monday until the end of Friday, the borders between Iran and Afghanistan will be closed again and the import of goods will not be allowed."

Latifi added: "Due to the holidays between Eid al-Adha and the Day of Arafah, traders and executive customs are asked to refrain from sending commercial cargo during the period."

The spokesman also said: "As of July 25, commercial activities on the border between Iran and Afghanistan will resume."

Due to the Afghan conflict, trade between Iran and Afghanistan was affected. The two borders of Dogharoun and Mahirud were closed; both were opened last week, and trade exchanges continued until now in Dogharoun, Mahirud, and Milak.
