22nd quarterly report of Iran's MFA on JCPOA submitted to Parliament

Tehran (IP)- Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the ministry's 22nd quarterly report on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was submitted to the Parliament.

Iran Press/Iran News: Saeed Khatibzadeh said that the ministry's 22nd quarterly report on the JCPOA was in 264 pages.

The JCPOA was signed between Iran and the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) along with Germany (P5+1) in Vienna on July 14, 2015.

The deal, approved by the Supreme National Security Council, the Parliament, and the leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution, became operational on January 16, 2016.

Pursuant to a note on a law entitled "Proportional and Reciprocal Action of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Implementation of the JCPOA" approved by the Iranian Parliament on October 13, 2015, it was determined that the Foreign Minister is obliged to report to the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament every three months on the implementation of the agreement.

According to this note, the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission is also obliged to submit a report on the implementation of the JCPOA to the open session of the Parliament once every six months.
