Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Ministers of Iran and India stressed the boosting of intra-Afghan talks with all parties' participation, which could lead to a political solution.

Iran PressIran news: In their meeting on Wednesday, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar discussed the situation in Afghanistan, the latest development of the region, the landscape of the Vienna talks on the JCPOA.

They also addressed the transportation and communication cooperation in Chabahar Port which could improve convergence among regions. 

Referring to the ongoing talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban in Tehran, the Indian Foreign Minister appreciated Iran bringing the two sides closer to a comprehensive political solution.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who is in Tehran to convey Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's written message to President-elect Ebrahim Raeisi, met Wednesday evening with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Jaishankar also met the president-elect Ebrahim Raisi a while ago. Indian foreign minister heading to Russia after meeting with Iranian officials.
