Germany withdrew its troops from Afghanistan while the 20-year presence of German troops in the country has caused great suffering to the Afghan people.

Iran PressAsia: The last German troops in Afghanistan left for Germany on June 29, after almost 20 years, German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Bauer announced.

According to the report, 59 German soldiers have been killed in NATO attacks in Afghanistan over the past 20 years.

Earlier, many NATO member states, including Italy, Norway, and Georgia, announced that they had withdrawn all their troops from Afghanistan.

Recently, NATO announced that by May 1, 2021, the member countries of this military organization would start withdrawing their troops from Afghanistan according to the scheduled plan, and this action will be done within a few months.

There are about 10,000 foreign troops from 36 countries in Afghanistan, led by the United States with 2,500 troops.

The United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan in 2001 under the pretext of fighting terrorism and providing security in Afghanistan, and this occupation has led to war, conflict, the destruction of Afghanistan's economic infrastructure, as well as insecurity, terrorism, and narcotics production.

Afghan officials have repeatedly stressed the need for foreign troops to leave the country. 219
