The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced the holding of a tripartite meeting with the presence of Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey on Sunday in Antalya.

Iran PressAsia: The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced Friday night that the three countries will discuss developments in the peace process in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Afghanistan, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Mohammad Hanif Atmar, met on Friday on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic forum.

During the meeting, Zarif announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate effectively in consolidating stability in Afghanistan and stressed the need for cooperation of all political currents inside Afghanistan in restoring stability. 

The Iranian Foreign Minister also announced his readiness to hold an economic commission between the two countries as soon as possible.

Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar also thanked the Iranian government for sending medical aid and oxygen equipment, and called for continued assistance, given the situation in the country.

The Afghan Foreign Minister went on to describe the latest security situation in Afghanistan and expressed his readiness to coordinate with the Iranian side, especially on the security situation in the border areas while establishing a joint border commission as soon as possible.
