Iran press/ America: Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi confirmed the restoration of his country's right to vote in the body.
Also, in a Friday tweet, Takht Ravanchi wrote: "After more than 6 months of working on it, the UN today announced it has received the funds."
He said: "Illegal US sanctions have not just deprived our people of medicine; they have also prevented Iran from paying our dues in arrears to the UN".
"ALL inhumane sanctions must be lifted NOW," the Iranian envoy stressed.
