Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned the terrorist attack in Burkina Faso in a statement on Sunday.

Iran PressIran news: Saeed Khatibzadeh announced Iran's readiness to cooperate with African countries, including Burkina Faso, by sharing experiences in the fight against terrorism.

He lamented Iran's deep regret over killing more than 100 Burkina Faso nationals on the country's border with Mali and Niger due to the terrorist attack.

The Burkina Faso government announced that unknown shooters had killed more than 100 civilians in a night raid on a village in the north.

Burkina Faso has been the target of many bloody attacks in recent years. The attacks began in the north, then spread to the east and center of the country.

These terrorist attacks have left hundreds dead since 2015.

Most of the attacks took place in the border areas of Burkina Faso with Mali, Niger, and Benin.
