Alborz (IP) - The Culture Garden of the National Commission for UNESCO was opened in Karaj, the capital of Alborz Province, west of Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran News: The opening ceremony held on Thursday was attended by Minister of Science, Research, and Technology Mansour Gholami, Head of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature (APLL) Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, President of the ECO Cultural Institute Sarvar Bakhti, and the Secretary-General of Iran-UNESCO National Commission Hojjatollah Ayoubi, Secretary of Cultural Revolution Supreme Council Seyyed Saeed-Reza Ameli as well as other cultural figures. 

Mansour Gholami said: "Iran is a place with deep-rooted culture and knowledge, and each Iranian is a treasure trove of knowledge and culture that adorn the vast geography of the land."

Also, Gholam Ali Haddad Adel said the Culture Garden of the National Commission for UNESCO helps the national identity consolidated. 

Still, Sarvar Bakhti considered the Culture term for the garden as a title originated from ancient wisdom and thought. 

At the end of the ceremony, the plaque of the Iranian Culture Garden and the commemorative stamp of the first cultural garden of the National Commission for UNESCO-Iran were unveiled.
