Joint Commission meeting in Vienna ends

Vienna (IP) - The JCPOA Joint Commission meeting ended and the next round of talks was scheduled to resume next week.

Iran PressEurope: The meeting of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Joint Commission was held on Wednesday in Vienna in the presence of the delegations of Iran and the P4+1 (France, China, Russia, and Britain plus Germany) and the EU representative. 

The meeting ended this evening after an hour of talks.

The meeting was chaired by Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary-General of the European Union, and Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, who was also the head of the Iranian delegation.

At this meeting, the heads of delegations reviewed the progress made in the fourth and final round of texts and discussed the way forward.

The delegations expressed satisfaction with the negotiations and stressed the need to maintain the current process when continuing the talks.

With these negotiations, the draft texts have almost been finalized.

Except for some complex disputes, which require political decisions in the capitals of the countries, the rest of the parts of the text have been finalized.

At the end of this round of talks, the delegations left for their capitals, and another round of talks is scheduled to resume next week.
