Vienna talks still far from conclusion, but progressing well: Araghchi

Vienna (IP) - "Vienna talks on JCPOA still far from conclusion, but progressing well," the head of the Iranian delegation at the JCPOA Joint Commission meeting said.

Iran PressEurope: "The US should remove anti-Iran sanctions then Tehran will resume compliance with JCPOA," Araghchi added.

"Iran, remaining JCPOA signatories to meet again on Friday," Araghci told PressTV.

After Iran and 4+1 have ended the first round of the 18th session of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna, the parties have agreed to continue consultations expert level.

According to the agreement, two parallel expert meetings are held between the Commission members to conduct technical consultations in lifting sanctions and nuclear weapons.

These expert meetings discuss the technical aspects and details of issues related to the lifting of sanctions and nuclear issues, and the outcome will be submitted to the commission.

Abbas Araghchi, the head of the Iranian delegation at the JCPOA Joint Commission meeting, later stressed that the US sanctions' lifting was the first and most necessary step to revive the nuclear deal.

Earlier today, Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov said that the preliminary results of Vienna talks may be revealed this evening.
