Isfahan (IP) - This year, on Nowruz 1400 in the Persian calendar, tourists visit the historical complex of Naghsh Jahan Square in Isfahan, central Iran, in compliance with health protocols.

Iran Press/Iran News: Naghsh Jahan Square is one of the most important tourist attractions of Isfahan, which includes a collection of historical buildings such as Imam Khomeini Mosque, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Qaisaria Bazaar, and Aali Qapu Mansion.

The historical complex of Naghsh Jahan Square, which belongs to the Safavid historical period, is on the list of national monuments and was also registered in 1979 as the first Iranian monument, number 115 in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Naghsh Jahan Square, with all its unique beauties, hosts many domestic and foreign tourists every year, but with the outbreak of coronavirus in Nowruz last year, it spent quiet days, but on Nowruz 1400, tourists came to Naghsh Jahan Square while observing the health protocols and celebrated Nowruz holiday at the historical complex.

Nowruz is the Iranians' ancient spring holiday that dates back to more than 3,000 years ago.
