Leader: Message of martyrs to those continuing their path is to be safe from fear, sorrow

Tehran (IP) - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in a meeting with the officials in charge of the Congress of 4,000 Martyrs of Yazd Province underlined that the important message of the martyrs to those who were continuing on their path was to be safe from fear and sorrow.

Iran Press/Iran News: The text of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's remarks at the meeting of the officials in charge of holding Congress of 4,000 Martyrs of Yazd Province, which was held on March 15 was released this morning at the conference venue.

In this meeting, the Leader praised the beautiful and innovative programs of the Yazd Martyrs' Congress such as planting saplings, preparing dowry, free treatment, preparing livelihood and cultural packages, reciting the Quran and naming the born on behalf of the martyrs, calling the people of Yazd innovative and added that in the sacred defense, the people of Yazd also showed many initiatives such as digging underground canals in operations using the art of digging aqueducts or creating numerous tailor shops and the participation of women in providing clothes for the soldiers.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution considered the holding of 40th-day ritual for the martyrs of the Tabriz uprising by the people of Yazd on March 30, 1978, as another example of the great role of the people of Yazd in critical moments and underscored that of course, the role of Martyr Sadoughi in the revolution and leadership of the people of Yazd and in the time of the sacred defense, and after him, the late Khatami continued the same path.

Ayatollah Khamenei considered this hopeful message as a counterpoint to the temptations of worldly people and added that the motivation of the martyrs to participate in the scene, as it is contained in their wills, was to support the revolution, the great Imam, the hijab, to ward off the evil of the enemy and to pave the way for the system to achieve its goals.
