Roadside bombs targeted three other support convoys affiliated with the US occupation forces in Iraq.

Iran PressMiddle East: The first blast in the direction of a US support convoy struck Thursday in the Al-Yousafiyah area south of Baghdad, damaging three US coalition vehicles but causing no casualties.

The second explosion took place in the province of Babel, south of Al-Hillah, and the third explosion took place in the province of Diwaniyah.

Earlier in the day, a US-backed convoy in the southern Iraqi province of al-Diwaniyah was targeted by a roadside bomb claimed by a group known as Ahl al-Kahf. The blast did not cause any casualties. At the same time, another bomb exploded in the American coalition convoy path in Dhi Qar province. A group called Awliya Dam has also claimed responsibility for the blast.

Similar explosions have occurred in recent months as US military convoys move through Iraq. Many Iraqi people and groups want the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq, and the Iraqi parliament has approved a plan for the withdrawal of these forces.
