IAEA's positions destructive to Iranian's trust: Gharibabadi

Vienna (IP) - Iran's permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said the continuation of politically biased positions would tarnish its credit before the Iranian nation.

Iran PressEurope: In response to Rafael Grossi's recent remarks, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Kazem Gharibabadi, said the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) suffered many complexities and should not be further complicated with such odd positions.

Gharibabadi stressed that the issues were interconnected, and Iran would set its steps and interactions with the IAEA while taking other issues into account.

"Iran continues to implement its safeguards obligations transparently," he noted.

The Iranian envoy advised the IAEA not to use claims of over two decades old as a shield to justify its intentional ignoring of major proliferation issues such as the Israeli regime's nuclear program.

Grossi told Newsweek in a recent interview that detailed and technical discussions were needed to determine the location of undeclared uranium in Iran, and the issue was entirely related to the future of the nuclear deal (JCPOA).
