Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Minister stated that for the first time, homemade ambulance buses would be joined to EMS (Emergency Medical Services).

Iran PressIran News: During a meeting with the heads of the health care and health emergency operations center (EOC) of the emergency organization via videoconference, Saeed Namaki stressed: "For this year, we had an initiative called 'Nowrouz Health' in which all health staffs were ready to provide services to Iranians."

He added: "Our emergency department currently has 48 helicopters, 15,700 ambulances, as well as 3,300 fixed bases and about 3,000 mobile bases during New Year holidays. 

Namaki highlighted that the number of female staff increased at EMS to provide better services to people.

"Qasem Soleimani’s program to combat COVID-19 is implemented across the country to decrease the number of infections and death toll," Iran's Health Minister said.

"All hospitals across the country are full ready to receive non-coronavirus patients," Namaki noted.
