Iran Press/ Iran news: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) had previously ordered the United States to ease sanctions it re-imposed on Iran after abandoning a nuclear deal in May.
Judges ruled that the US had to remove 'any impediments' to the export of humanitarian goods, including food, medicine, and aviation safety equipment.
Iran's letter pointed to the US previous violations of the order, including the prevention of Iran's humanitarian aid exporting, and added that during that time, the US consistently violated 19 interim orders by intensifying sanctions and blocking interim transactions, even in the aftermath of the coronavirus outbreak.
The Islamic Republic of Iran requested the court to establish Ad Hoc Committees to oversee the implementation of the Court's orders, considering the jurisdictional decision dated February 3, 2021.
The necessity and reasonable grounds for requesting an interim injunction by Iran, which the Court has accepted, cannot be ruled out or ignored until a substantive verdict was issued, which would probably take several years, the letter said.
The 250-page letter and its appendices, which show evidence of repeated and persistent violations of the ICC's interim order by the United States, were presented to the Secretary-General of the International Court of Justice Hague on Thursday.
