Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman announced on Wednesday that in the past 24 hours, 65 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 61,492.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to March 17, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 7,802 cases out of whom 670 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She noted that so far, 1,771,115 people in the country had contracted coronavirus, and 1,514,061 recovered.

3,859 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 11,912,137 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest analysis, 9 cities are in red, 31 in orange, 259 are in yellow, and 113 are in the blue zones.
