Fakhra corona vaccine

Tehran (IP) - The project manager of the Iranian Fakhra vaccine said all the necessary standards and complete safety had been implemented in the production of the vaccine which its mass production will be launched in summer.

Iran PressIran news: In a TV program on Tuesday night, Ahmad Karimi stated that next month, the clinical trial of the first phase of the Fakhra vaccine ends, and the mass production would be carried out simultaneously with the clinical trials of phases two and three.

"The mass production of the vaccine will be launched next summer," he noted.

The spokesman of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran, Kianoush Jahanpour, also joined the program via phone and said, "Five vaccines have got the permission for emergency use in the country, and some of them have been purchased and imported."

As Jahanpour said, 920,000 doses of vaccine had been imported from Russia and India, and about three million doses from the global COVAX program would arrive in early spring.

The Iranian "Fakhra" vaccine was produced by the "Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research" of the Defense Ministry and was headed by the martyred scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
