Iran Press/ Iran news: In a speech on Tuesday, Saeed Namaki said: "Today, I can proudly say that the Islamic Republic of Iran is shining as a leading country in the world in terms of coronavirus management, despite the sanctions."
"Thanks to the wise guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Iran managed to control the outbreak of the coronavirus while the US failed," Namaki said, comparing Iran and the US in terms of controlling the virus.
Referring to the distribution of the vaccines among the vulnerable communities, he pointed out: " We are not in a hurry for vaccination show, but we are in a hurry to vaccinate the vulnerable groups and use the best vaccine, and we will vaccinate a significant number of vulnerable groups by the end of the winter."
The Iranian Health Minister made the remarks in the clinical trial of the fourth Iranian COVID-19 vaccine, dubbed as FAKHRAVAC (MIVAC) 19.
Phase I of the clinical trial of the Iranian Fakhra coronavirus vaccine, named after the prominent Iranian nuclear scientist Fakhrizadeh, started on Tuesday.
The clinical trial of the fourth Iranian COVID-19 vaccine, dubbed as FAKHRAVAC (MIVAC) 19, kicked off in the presence of Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami and Health Minister Saeed Namaki by injecting to the first volunteer.
