Tehran (IP) - The secretary-general of the Iranian Red Crescent Society announced the beginning of the COVID-19 control project in six official borders of the country.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammad-Hassan Qosian expressed preparedness to implement this national project in 24 air, land, and sea borders. He stated that the COVID control project had started in six official borders of the country, including the terrestrial borders of Martyr Soleimani of Mehran in Ilam Province, Dogharoon in Khorasan Razavi, Shalamcheh and Chazzabeh in Khuzestan, Milak in Sistan and Baluchestan, and Kish Air Border in Hormozgan.

He noted that the project was being implemented in cooperation with the Health Ministry and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development aiming at identifying, screening, and conducting rapid and final testing throughout the country.

The official pointed out that all land, air, and sea passengers would be screened upon arrival in Iran and would give a quick test if needed.

To implement this project, out of about 100 official borders of the country in three parts, 32 borders have had been selected, which include 18 land borders, 11 air borders, and 3 sea borders in 21 provinces and 6 cities, Qosian said.
