JCPOA

The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said: "As the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has announced, the Islamic Republic of Iran will stop its remedial measures after the lifting of sanctions by the United States."

Iran Press/Iran News: Saeed Khatibzadeh stated this in response to a question about the remarks made by Hesamoddin Ashna, advisor to President Hassan Rouhani in an interview with Al-Akhbar.

"Ashna's statements in this interview are his personal opinion and have not been coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Dr. Zarif," Khatibzadeh said.

Khatibzadeh added: "Iran's position on the US non-compliance with its commitments under UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the way back to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is clear, which has been repeatedly and accurately stated by the foreign minister."

"After the lifting of sanctions by the United States, Iran, as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has announced, will stop its remedial measures. Under the JCPOA, the International Atomic Energy Agency is the verifying authority," he concluded.
