Tehran (IP) - Iran's foreign minister said the current US administration was following the failed policy of the Trump administration.

Iran PressIran News: In a Thursday tweet, Mohammad Javad Zarif said the US had prevented Iran from accessing its money in South Korea, which shows that Washington was following the very failed policy of the American former President Donald Trump.

Slamming the comments of the US Secretary of State Antoni Blinken over Iran's blocked money in South Korea, Zarif wrote: "The US claims it favors diplomacy; not Trump's failed policy of 'maximum pressure.'"

"Yet Blinken boasts about blocking Korea from transferring our OWN money to the Swiss Channel—only used for food & medicines," he pointed out.

Iran's Foreign Minister stressed: "Repeating the same policy won't yield new results. Only way: #CommitActMeet."

Iran has maintained that Washington has to lift its inhuman sanctions on the Islamic Republic before the two sides could negotiate.

Tehran has repeatedly ruled out any renegotiation of the already-negotiated nuclear deal, clinched by Iran and six world powers in 2015, saying the only way to save the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is for the US to lift its sanctions on Iran and rejoin the accord.
