Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Health spokeswoman announced on Tuesday that 3,811 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to March 9, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 8,554 cases out of whom 797 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated.

Lari also announced that hopefully 1,456,759 COVID-19 patients have either been recovered or discharged.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 81 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 1,706,559.3,811 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 11,402,162 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.
