Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman announced on Monday that in the past 24 hours, 99 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 60,786.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to March 08, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 8,313 cases out of whom 725 patients were hospitalized, Sima-Sadat Lari stated.

She noted that so far, 1,698,005 people in the country had been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,449,350 recovered.

3,804 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 11,337,942 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman added.
