Deputy Health Min. outlines Iran's anti-COVID-19 plan for Nowruz holiday

Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman for the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus talked about New Year's coronavirus restrictions.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the fourth phase of the national mobilization of Martyr Gen. Qasem Soleimani's Plan to contain COVID-19 through intensification of restrictions ceremony held at the Health Ministry on Tuesday, Alireza Raisi defined the COVID-19 restrictions plan for the Iranian New Year holidays.

Raisi talked about the following measures that would be on the agenda in the upcoming Nowruz holiday including providing essential healthcare services, early detection of COVID-19 for the people exposed to the disease by intelligent technology up to 80%, providing care and support coverage for the elderly by at least 30%, two-week isolation of patients and suspected cases up to 100%, protection of those who have been quarantined over COVID-19, compliance with health protocols by 90% in the first 15 days and 95% in the second 15 days, complete and partial quarantine of communities where disease outbreaks approved.

According to Deputy Health Minister, the measures of the Ministry of Health with Basij Organization cooperation during New Year holidays are public education, intensification of diagnosing of the disease, intensification of tracking, ensuring isolation, intensification of caring of the high-risk elderly, and intensification of target groups.

The fourth phase of the national mobilization of Martyr Soleimani Plan to contain COVID-19 by intensification restrictions was held with Iran's Health Minister Saeed Namaki and commander of Iran's Basij  Brig. Gen Gholamreza Soleimani and health deputies in attendance.
