Tehran (IP) - Ceremony of handing over all kinds of military planes, heavy transport, and helicopters to Iran's Armed Forces together with an overhaul of dozens of advanced engines was held at the Aviation Industries Organization of the Ministry of Defense.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Iranian Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami added: "9 overhauled aircraft are F4, F14, F27, and Mirage military aircraft as well as C130, 707, and 747 transport aircraft."

Gen Hatami said: "These aircraft are widely used in air combat and in various combat, tactical and transport missions, and by handing them over to the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the air combat fleet of the Armed Forces would be strengthened."

The Iranian Minister of Defense said: "The 10 overhauled helicopters are 214, 205, 206, 209, both the Eastern and Western versions of 212 helicopters and 171 Mil Mi."

The top military official stressed: "These helicopters have combat, police, and relief uses that are delivered to units of the Army Air Force, Army Aviation, IRGC Navy, and the Iranian Police Aviation."

The Iranian Minister of Defense concluded Dozens of overhauled engines have also been recovered through the efforts of the experts of the  Aviation Industries Organization of the Ministry of Defense which includes a variety of turbojets, turbofans, and turboshafts used in military aircraft and helicopters of the Army Air Force, and Navy.
