Tehran (IP) - The head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian parliament stressed that the actions of Europe and the United States were considered as a threat to the agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Iran Press/Iran News: Referring to the US anti-Iranian efforts at the IAEA Board of Governors, Abbas Golroo told Iran Press on Sunday: "It is the United States that has left the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and must return to it through the lifting of all sanctions against Iran."

Emphasizing that the "Strategic Action Law to Lift Sanctions" must be implemented, Golroo added: "The double standards policy of the West, especially the United States, does not make sense and the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran stands firm and in addition to serving Iran's interests, the other side must fulfill its commitments."

The head of the Security Committee of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament stressed that Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, had to brief the countries and stop the destructive process started by the three European countries and the United States.

Following the unilateral and unlawful withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA on May 8, 2018, Iran has made efforts to maintain the nuclear agreement provided that the other parties to the agreement would fulfill their obligations, but the Europeans did not succeed in the practical measures they had promised to maintain the agreement.

The Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran also passed a law for lifting sanctions, obliging the government to limit cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and take further steps to reduce its obligations under JCPOA if the US sanctions continue.
