Tehran (IP) - The deputy chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's parliament said that the aim to legitimize the US-backed Zionist regime was to advance the Iranophobia plot.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview with Iran Press, Shahriar Heidari stressed that under various pretexts and in cooperation with the Arab States such as Bahrain, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, the Zionist regime sought to legitimize itself and justify its presence in the region; also it sought a so-called military coalition with these countries against Iran.

The Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's Parliament emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran was the first defense power in the region and no longer worried about the Israeli-Arab coalition.

Heidari said that Persian Gulf littoral states were unaware of Zionist regime US secret agreements. The main purpose of these two regimes' presence in the region was to plunder the huge source of Persian Gulf littoral states' energy.

Heidari noted: "These kinds of agreements have no impact on Iran's determination, will, and defense power, and if Israel and some Arab countries want to have military intentions, they will not be able to stand against Iran."

"The Arab countries must be concerned about Zionist regime presence, not a powerful country like the Islamic Republic of Iran, which defends unity and security in the region", said the MP.
