Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister said the country's scale-back measures towards the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) were due to the US behavior which has not yet changed.

Iran PressIran news: In a Thursday tweet, Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "US admits that only after it "left the JCPOA, Iran has taken steps away" while until then" Iran was living up to its limits".

"That US behavior—the CAUSE—has not changed", Zarif pointed out.

Blaming the European parties of the JCPOA for the problem, the Iranian Minister wrote: "E3 also culpable-no business with Iran for 3 years US/E3 must remove the cause, NOT ask Iran to stop ¶36 remedies".

In the wake of the US illegal withdrawal from the Internationally-signed JCPOA on May 8, 2018, the Islamic Republic of Iran tried to preserve the agreement, provided that the other parties live up to their obligations, but the Europeans failed to fulfill their commitments to the JCPOA.
