Tehran (IP): The spokesman of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran said that in the framework of public vaccination and after the successful evaluation of the first phase of this national plan, the second phase has started.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency, Kianoosh Jahanpour referred to the start of the second phase of the universal vaccination plan in the country and noted in the first phase of the general vaccination, 10,000 medical staff in the intensive care unit were vaccinated.

The spokesman for the Food and Drug Administration of Iran said that the Corona vaccine had been distributed throughout the country, adding that in the second phase of the universal vaccination plan, another 100,000 people in the medical staff would be vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik vaccine.

Jahanpour stated that medical staff's vaccination would increase every week with the arrival of new consignments of the vaccine. It was likely that medical staff's vaccination would end by the end of the current Iranian year.

The spokesman of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran also stated the results of the first phase of the "Cov Iran Barakat" vaccine's clinical trial. Fortunately, no serious side effects were observed in the first phase of the clinical trial of the "Cov Iran Barakat" vaccine.

The Health official went on to say that the initial results of the first phase of the clinical trial of the "Cov Iran Barakat" vaccine were successful, adding that in the coming days, the second and third phases of the vaccine would begin in the country.
