Iran Press/Iran News: Hassan Rouhani at his weekly Wednesday session of the cabinet, said that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is alive because of the patience and resistance of the Iranian people, adding: "The way to advance our words and to be a defendant from the position of the accused is to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."
Emphasizing that we are firmly in JCPOA, the President of Iran noted: "We may reduce our obligations for some reason, but we accept the principle of JCPOA and we protect it. We were the ones who kept it. If we did not have patience in the three years of economic war, there would be no survival."
Rouhani added: "All the enemy excuses were PMD (possible military dimensions) case. We closed the case. The biggest blow to the body of propaganda and malicious policies was the closure of this case."
He stressed that when the way to cooperate with the IAEA is destroyed, there is no other way left, he said: "The IAEA stood against Donald Trump. One of the places where Trump failed was when he lost, facing the agency."
The president added: "Trump was in JCPOA for a year, but he wanted JCPOA to be defeated through the IAEA. The United States and some others wanted to condemn Iran for not cooperating, but the IAEA stated that Iran was cooperating. The three European countries - which owe us so much - wanted to get a weapon to use against Iran. This weapon was taken from them."
