Iran (IP)- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the executive program of tourism cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran and the Ministry of Tourism and Foreign Trade Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Iran PressIran news:  This Memorandum of Understanding was signed based on friendly relations and a mutual desire to develop and expand bilateral relations in the field of tourism cooperation, stressing the important role of tourism in developing economic, cultural relations and highlighting the natural and historical features of the two countries.

This MoU is set in 11 clauses for 2 years and will last until December 31, 2023.

Speaking at the ceremony for signing the Memorandum of Understanding on the Executive Program of Tourism Cooperation between Iran and Venezuela, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran, Ali Asghar Mounesan said: "Iran, with its ancient civilization and abundant historical, natural and cultural resources, as well as cultural diversity and ethnicity, has an excellent capacity for tourism and attracting tourists from Venezuela."

He added: "You saw some of these attractions in person and another part through videos and photos in this ceremony."

"With its beautiful nature that was seen in the photos and videos and according to the explanations of the Minister of Tourism, Venezuela can be a good attraction for tourists, especially the Iranian nature lovers," Mounesan stated.

Referring to the existence of direct flights between Iran and Venezuela, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran added: "Direct flights between the two countries is a significant and good capacity that can help start and develop tourism relations between the two countries."
