Moscow (IP) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman welcomed the agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to continue the essential activities of the IAEA inspectors in Iran.

Iran PressEurope: Maria Zakharova on Monday welcomed Tehran on reaching a temporary agreement on nuclear inspections after the Director-General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi visited Iran.

Zakharova said Moscow welcomed the development and hoped it will help improve the overall political situation around Iran and its nuclear program.

"The IAEA and Iran have made a tangible positive contribution to the formation of conditions for the start of a substantive conversation about Washington's return to the nuclear deal as well as the implementation of the country's commitments under UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and resumption of implementation of all of Iran's voluntary commitments,” Zakharova said.

"We call on all partners, as well as the United States, to act without delay," she added.

The International Atomic Energy Agency and the Islamic Republic of Iran agreed on Sunday on the continuation of the essential activities of the IAEA inspectors in Iran.
